Grace WellsMy name is Grace Wells. I was born and raised in Beijing, China for 20 years. During those 20 years, I attended school in Beijing. I played sports and was selected to play on the Beijing professional volleyball team, during that time I competed in volleyball tournaments in China, USA, Australia, Poland, North Korea, and France. After seven years of professional experience, I was honored to represent the Chinese National Volleyball Team and we won the gold medal that year.
Later, I came to the United States to continue my education. I currently have a Master’s degree in Sports Management. For the past two years, I worked at Plemons-Stinnett-Phillips CISD. I was the Family Consumer Science, varsity head volleyball coach and PE, Health teacher. Prior to that, I had one year of experience working at Borger High School (BISD) as head volleyball coach. During my time at PSPCISD, I helped the volleyball team go from 4th place in the district to the regional quarterfinals two years in a row, this year we were undefeated, ending with co-district champions. I also have two years experience working at Frank Phillips College (D1, NJCAA) and helped Frank Phillips College get to 3rd place in the Region 5 West Conference and also helped the team set the record for winning all home games in the 2012-2013 school year. This will be my first year coaching at Dallas College Richland Campus and with Slam Volleyball! I am honored and excited to be part of these programs. My goal for this coming volleyball season is to use my knowledge and experience to help young athletes achievement successful in both academics and athletics! |
