Valerie LoveHouston native Valerie began playing volleyball at the age of 11. She quickly fell in love with the sport. At age 15, she relocated to Waco, where she started as an outside hitter for Lorena High School under Coach Paula Spaulding (Payne). At Lorena, Valerie twice earned 1st Team ALL- District for District 3A. Valerie continued to develop her passion for volleyball, playing for many clubs, including Baylor University. Once graduating from Lorena High School, she then set her sites on the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. Throughout her collegiate career, Valerie played intramural volleyball, graduating in 2010, where she received a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood and Family Education.
She coached 7th Grade volleyball for both Plano ISD and Allen ISD. While under her leadership, Valerie advanced her teams in volleyball tournaments for the first time in many years for the school's volleyball program. She enjoyed working with such talented young ladies. This is her 7th year of coaching club volleyball. Besides coaching and playing volleyball, Valerie enjoys volunteering at her church, exercising, practicing yoga, reading, and spending time with her family and friends. |
